Twisting Fun @ a Cheerleading Competition

First note... Tired and sore!!!! This time I was twisting solo as my wife is quite pregnant so ... I banned her from helping out much so it was mostly me solo. At one point I had a 30-45 minute wait for people to get a balloon and they were all amazing about it. I guess I was the envy of all the vendors there...

So ... on to the funny stories...

1. Wife was in the bathroom cleaning up and over heard a funny conversation from cheerleaders of different teams...
Team 1 Cheerleader: Our competition wasn't this good, this one is so much better!
Team 2 Cheerleader: Why is ours better then yours?
Team 1 Cheerleader: Because, ours didn't have the balloon people!
Team 2 Cheerleader: Should have been here last year, they did the prizes!
Team 1 Cheerleader: WHAT!?!?!

2. I was twisting up a storm and had a mass of cheerleaders in front of me with the same outfits on. I asked them if the whole team was getting balloons and the adult keeping track of them did a count and told me "Almost!" I asked if I could get a cheer from the team and I got a lot of the "No" answers and shaking of heads. Finally, the adult told me, "Wait, I think she might do one for you!" I checked and sure enough she was willing --- so I asked her if she would do a balloon guy cheer (don't ask me why, but it seemed like a fun challenge). She thought about it, asked for a minute and told me she would do it. So... sadly without a means to record the amazing cheer, I had a balloon guy cheer!!! It went...

.... and somewhere from there. LOL It was too dang fun and cute. I rewarded them by giving their escort a football based hat that I had been toying with during the slow parts of the morning and she thought it was awesome.

3. One girl wanted the playable guitar balloon and then asked me if it was playable. I told her yes and she let out a small shrill of excitement (I laughed --- couldn't help it). So I started twisting it and she asked me if I will demonstrate how to play it --- Of course I told her ---- another small shrill of excitement (mind you this a teenager). Finally I finished it after a few other funny moments, and I proceeded to twang it good and properly and she shrilled so loud I "KNOW" she was heard on the far side of the lobby over the loud music from the cheer competition! LOL She thought it was so awesome and convinced several of her other friends to get one. Her balloon popped later during the day, but I had her help me pack some supplies out and let her take dibs on any of my displays she wanted for helping me and proceeded to quickly twist her a free guitar as that was her favorite --- she let out a shrill again.

There were a few other great ones there, but moral of the story --- cheerleaders are awesome! LOL I am so exhausted, but they made me come out feeling like a hero from being at their competition. I was the only vendor who ran non-stop from an hour after start until 30 minutes after finish.... I actually had to turn people away for a few minutes as I ate a quick lunch! Kids and teens would also tell me what they got from me last year and how much they enjoyed it. No matter how exhausted I felt --- I was at least happy to say I still was occasionally delivered some great laughs.
