I try hard to keep the forum clean from SPAM.
Lately we have been getting more of it.
I'm going to be do what I can to fix it.
If you find a Spam Post, please click the "Report to moderator" link at the bottom right of the post.
It will take you to a form. Enter a comment about the Spam and click "submit"
I'll get an email telling me where it is and I will remove it.
Thank you for all your help.
-Mike

it might also be time to get a small team of top members to patrole the forums for spam and remove it thus removing some of the load from you

What are you considering SPAM? I definitely see advertising Amway here as SPAM---but one's own website? A DVD on balloons? A local balloon Jam?

there is a post on the thread I started (website up and running) that is totally random like 5th or 6th down that should be considered spam. I reported it, I think correctly but things like that is what I consider spam. people just saying things on a thread to promote or whatever just to get their name or website shown basically.

I think that it is ok if people want to tell us about their website.
Make a website can be a big accomplishment.
What I am more concerned about is robot spam programs posting about non balloon related websites.
Last week it was shoes and designer bags.
These kinds of robot spammer can quickly inundate the forum with tons of worthless posts and registrations.
The new spam reduction modifications has taken the number of fake registrations from 200 a day, to 1 in the past week.

Ok, thanks for clarifying, I wanted to make sure that my posts about the Houston Area Balloon Jams weren't the type of Spam that you were worried about.

I noticed the ones about hand bags. If they don't even try to mention anything related to balloons that to me is major spam issues.
