First of all, a huge thank you for that complete list of balloons. I get asked about that all the time but the thought of going through and making a list always seemed a bit daunting. It was really no trouble sorting out the balloons although perhaps a little time consuming but if you really wanted to thank me, you could fill me in on how the heck you made that submarine on your twitter page You know what I'm talkin' about. I don't expect an answer but you can't blame me for tryin.

Haha, yes, that submarine. Well, Pieter Van Engen did a far better version, but I'm obliged by the creator of the technique not to share it just yet. For now it will just have to be a pleasant mystery

I worked on figuring this out ALL DAY. I was NOT paying attention in History, and was instead doodling balloon submarines. And finally... I figured it out! Still don't get how the uniformity on those portholes is so good, David (nice to meet you, by the way.) but I did make my own. Is it stealing from Pieter if I figured it out from a picture? If so I won't make it again.

Chances are that if you looked at a picture and figured it out that you did something different. Could be a pinch twist left out or anything of the sort. You can make the item as much as you want just don't do a tutorial on it unless you know for sure that yours is different. IMHO

It's not stealing to make something from a picture. That's just you being a competent twister and able to understand what you see. So long as you don't teach it as your own idea you are fine. Also, I must point out the Pieter is not the creator of the concept, he just used the technique to make an amazing submarine.

Well I dusted off my Nifty balloons Mask DVD (now available for purchase and download here at balloon-animals.com as well) and made the Bride of Frankenstein and Frankensteins Monster Masks today. I had a few balloons pop and I didn't have all the colors in the sizes I needed but I worked with what I had and I love them. I ran out of 646 lime green for the Frankenstein Chin so I threw on another 350 lime instead to help bulk it up a little. I didn't have the gold balloons for the bolts in the neck either so I just made 4 petals with a little stem w/ gray 260 for each side instead. I had a bit of trouble w/the 646 sidewall bubble but I finally got it! Great DVD or download!

I had 5 lime green 646 left when I started this and I think they were a little old or something because none of them stood up to the sidewall bubble. They all developed a small pinhole. So I made the entire mask with 350's and I think it still turned out good!! Thanks for the ideas to work with David. I love learning one technique that can be used to design multiple creations!
ps.....have you or are you considering volume 3 for sale on here??
