Hi to all.  I have visited this site numerous times, but never become a member until now.  I have been twisted for about 13 years now.  You all have been a great inspiration to me to really "up" my game over the past two years.  I will try to figure out how to post some of my new work soon.   Smiley

This place is TOTALLY awesome! I met Robbie Furman in Vegas and you are right - he is so awesome.

Hope business is well for you.

It's great to talk to another clown even if there is a good network of them in the UK, the country of my origin and residence. And I've just started out as one. Just out of interest, what type of clown are you? I'm an auguste.

Hi there to Eddie.  Sorry it has taken me so looooong to get back to you.  I have 4 kids and it is hard to find the time to keep in touch.  I am kind of a baby doll/character clown.  I guess I am sort of a fancy rag doll type clown.  I have tried to upload my pic. to this website several times, doesn't seem to work, but you can see me on my website at www.freewebs.com/rainbowtheclown    And yes, I know what you mean about having another clown to talk to, there are a lot of people these days who are just twisters, not clowns.  I love being a clown!  I would never feel as free or as relaxed performing as a regular person.  As a clown, I can be sweet, silly or shy and it is all in character.  I also get the chance to do face painting and magic.  I LOVE to paint children and am quite accomplished at it.  I also enjoy performing magic for adults and children alike.  I wouldn't get that chance if I were just a twister.  Anyway, welcome and hopefully I will get to chat with you again soon.  Rainbow

I know it's early days for my clown character but I found character development, on the whole, to be a marvellous learning curve especially if I've recently been watching the old Chuck E. Cheese training videos on YouTube (even if we don't have Chuck E. Cheese in the UK). What's more, I've only recently developed a special seasonal persona on the account it's Christmas prior to SDC's Got Talent, my college's equivalent to Britain's Got Talent (it's taking place in five days' time). This new persona of mine turns out to be Rudolph the Comedy Reindeer (my skills won't be much different from my 'standard' clown persona). Well, I know what you're thinking so, will I wear a full unitard? No! I have a good selection of clothing of such colours as brown and beige (although my shoes would be black). And will I be wearing make-up on the same account? No! I'd simply wearing a nose (obviously!) as well as antlers (I'm sure they're easily obtainable). How's that?

Hi Eddie, I told you, I am Terrible at keeping in touch.  I am toooooooo busy these days.  Kids have been sick, I have been sick, work is good and try to keep regular customers happy.  All the while, trying to create more new balloon sculptures.  I am glad to hear that you are developing your clown character.  It took me a long time to develop my character.  She is sweet, shy, funny and maybe even a little quiet.  She is NOTHING like the real me.  That is what is SOOOOO great about being a clown.  I get to be someone else for a while every time I go out to work.  Not that I don't like who I am.  It is kind of like acting.  You get to play someone else for a while.  Anyway, I still haven't figured out how to post pictures here.  Shame too because over the winter holidays I have come up with some pretty terrific stuff.  A radio flyer sled that was all mine, and ice skating penguine and a giant snow flake that was over 4 ft. tall.  Take care and keep on clowning around.  Rainbow
